Service Portfolio & Lifecycle Management ensures the management of the service portfolio for achieving maximum business value over time.

Service Lifecycle Management means managing the planning, definition and use of services. On the strategic level, Service Lifecycle Management ensures that you are building and maintaining the right service portfolio to deliver the highest possible business value over time. Tactically, Service Lifecycle Management makes sure that each service is of the highest possible quality and that it will be used properly.

The Service Portfolio maps the services to the business needs and is used for: investment analyzes
 prioritization and allocation of resources
 risk management
 financial modeling.


The Service Portfolio consists of:
 services under development – the Service Pipeline
 services in production or available for deployment – the Service Catalogue
 phased-out services – Retired Services.
